A reading for the week

At about the same time , the disciples came to Jesus asking, 'Who gets the highest rank in God's kingdom?' For an answer Jesus called over a small child.....and said 'I'm telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you're not even going to get a look at the Kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God's Kingdom...'  (Matthew 18: 1-4, The Message)

Pauls Says....'I experienced (this) suffering as a sheer gift, God's way of helping me serve you, laying out the whole truth. This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it's out in the open. God wanted everyone , not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing.

The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple.   (Colossians 1: 25-25, The Message)
